NYC Cost of Living
Internship assignment at Jasper Rietman, for an article at newyorktimes.com. The article was about the gap between the rich and the poor in New York becoming bigger and bigger. This is more often the reason the poor leave the city to live in a cheaper place.

We Want More
‘WE WANT MORE’ deals with the Y-Generation, my own generation. These modern times focus on freedom of choice and the individual, and many have large ambitions which need to be achieved as soon as possible. Although there is more space than ever to pursue these goals, there is tremendous pressure to make the right decisions in life. My project is filled with characters who are affected by the heavy competition out there and this pressure to make the right decisions.

I translated this sentiment within an elongated, illuminated, illustrated sign. Behind the illustrated image the light moves from left to right. It takes the spectator by the hand and reveals a transformation of the world as we have known it for a long time, into a terrifying and oppressive environment.

MR. Woodcole Mixtapes
For @hard_hoofd I made illustrations to accompany @mrwoodcole ‘s new mixtapes! The project consists of 3 mixtapes with Western vibes combined with Korean and Japanese influences, curated in three different vibes.
